New Member Minute
For new members, the key thing to know about Rotary is that it’s about service, friendship, and community — not immediate expertise. You don’t have to attend every event or know all traditions at once. The best way to experience Rotary is to show up, get involved, ask questions, and enjoy serving with others.
Rotary attendance is less about perfect meeting attendance and more about staying actively involved through service, fellowship, and participation in club activities.
Members of the Windham Rotary Club showed off their trivia skills on May 12 at Trivia Night hosted by The Windham Restaurant. With a team made up of Shauna and her daughter, Jim and Susan, Ric, and Jaimie, the group used their combined knowledge — and the advantage of only facing one other team — to capture the championship title in a fun-filled evening of laughs and friendly competition.
Rotarians from the Windham Rotary Club and Londonderry Rotary Club traded business meetings for wheelbarrows and work gloves on May 15, teaming up at the YMCA of Greater Londonderry to help prepare the summer camp for opening day. Volunteers spread mountains of wood chips, cleaned picnic tables, and proved that many hands — and a few sore backs — can make light work. Their teamwork helped create a safer and more welcoming space for local children to enjoy this summer.
Members of the Windham Rotary Club enjoyed a fun, food-filled After Hours night at The Windham Restaurant, where their multigenerational trivia team almost took home the win.
