What began as a conversation about whether Windham needed another service organization quickly grew into a thriving new Rotary Club. Following a highly successful informational meeting on September 24, 2025, that attracted more than 50 interested community members, a group of dedicated charter members came together to establish the Windham Rotary Club. Since then, the club has remained committed to serving the community through meaningful projects and continues to grow its impact. As the club looks to the future, it welcomes anyone interested in service and community involvement to join a meeting and learn more.

Hello Friends,

It’s hard to believe that just over a year ago, I had my first casual conversation about starting a new Rotary Club in Windham. I’ll admit, I had my reservations. Windham already had several outstanding organizations providing valuable community service, and I wondered, “Was there really room for one more?”

The more people I spoke with throughout the community, the more convinced I became that the answer was an emphatic yes.

On September 24, 2025, with the support of District leadership, neighboring Rotary Clubs from Derry and Londonderry, and several local organizations that had benefited from Rotary’s service, we hosted an informational meeting at The Common Man. Quite honestly, I didn’t know what to expect. Would anyone even show up?

To my surprise, the room designed for 40 people was overflowing.

We left that evening with a list of more than 50 interested individuals. After a follow-up survey, we formed an organizational committee that would become the charter members of the new Windham Rotary Club. I am truly honored to have worked alongside such an exceptional group of people who embody Rotary’s spirit of service through their giving hearts and serving spirits.

From the very beginning, we committed ourselves to serving our community through meaningful projects—and we haven’t slowed down since.

If this story sparks your interest, I invite you to join us. Stop by one of our Tuesday morning breakfast meetings at MaryAnn’s Diner or attend one of our evening socials at The Windham Restaurant. We are just getting started, and there is plenty more to come.

Best regards,

Michael Lucci
